Alvin Carl  Johnson
Alvin Carl Johnson (Goodie), a native of Saraland, Alabama (Black Jack), was born June 29, 1954 and passed on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at a local hospital. He was the 11th sibling of the late Lorttie and Ed Johnson, Sr.

Alvin Johnson was a faithful member of Cedar Street Baptist Church where he sung in the Male Chorus.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Lelia Mae Horn and one brother, Arnold Johnson.

He is survived by a devoted family, his loving wife: Loretta Johnson; three sons: LaKendrick (Donette) Bryant Sr, of Dallas TX, Kenston (LaToya) Howze, and Bryant (LaSheena) Benson Sr of Mobile, Alabama; two daughters: Alisha (Dan) Wegmen of South Korea and Tiyana Woodard of Saraland, Alabama; eighteen grandchildren; four great grandchildren; three god-children; four brothers; seven sisters; like a second mother: Mrs. Sylvia Speight; a very loving mother-in-law: Mrs. JoAnn Peavy; a host of devoted nieces(one dedicated, Shelia Martin), nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends (special friend, Vanessa Hill)

His remains will lie in state 1-8pm Friday, February 16, 2018 at Small's Mortuary, Mobile. AL. Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2018 from 9am until the 11am funeral hour at Cedar Street Baptist Church, 541 Cedar Street, Saraland, AL. Interment will follow in Bailey Cemetery, Saraland, AL
