Eddie James  Williams Sr.
Mr. Eddie James Williams, Sr. was born on September 17, 1950 in Phenix City, AL. to the Late Ola Mae Byrd Cunningham and Mr. Tommie Lee Williams. He moved to Mobile, AL in 1999 from Columbus, GA.

He attended Spence High School in Columbus, GA. Mr. Williams employment was driving vanline trucks for thirty-two years with Allied, United, Beking, and Covan Trucking Company.

He was preceded in death by his sisters: Vernice Williams Davis, Vicky Williams; brothers: Thomas “Pup” Byrd, Jr., Ricky “Champ” Williams and Walter Lee “Shorty” Cunningham.

Eddie leaves to cherish his loving memory, his loving and devoted wife of eighteen years: Dr. Joyce Hale Williams; daughters: Vicky Williams Lewis of Columbus, GA, Falisha Williams of Atlanta, GA and Sharquia Williams of Mobile, AL; sons: Eddie Williams, Jr. and Jeremy Williams of Columbus, GA; stepdaughters: Tanya (Lee) Moore of Detroit, MI, Sharon Wesley of Mobile, AL and Petula Traywick of Independence, MO; stepson, Joseph (Erica) Hale; brothers: Roger Williams of Atlanta, GA, Cleveland Williams of Columbus, GA, Tony, Freddie and Gregory Williams of Jacksonville, FL; sister, Maritta Thomas of Jacksonville, FL; uncle, Clarence Williams of Columbus, GA; aunt, Johnnie Newman of Philidelphia, PN; sisters-in-law: Leola Simmon, Beverly Hale, Jocelyn Hale Evansley (Norman) Williams, Barendie Oliver, Angle Rochcchild all of Mobile, AL, Mildred Hall of Tallahassee, FL, Inesclee Hale, Carlettie Hale of Huntsville, AL; brother-in-law, Leroy A. Hale, Jr.; sons-in-law: Claude Brown nd Carlos Traywick, Sr. of Mobile, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

His remains will lie in state from 1-8pm, Friday, March 9, 2018 at Small's Mortuary, Mobile. A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2018 from 9am until the 11am funeral hour at Christ Temple Apostolic Church, 801 Virginia Street, Mobile, AL. Interment will follow in Whispering Pines, Eight Mile, AL.
