Samuel “Butter” Whitt, Sr., a native and lifelong resident of Mobile, AL. He made his peaceful and graceful transition on Sunday, January 21, 2018 at a local hospital. He leaves to cherish in his loving memories a devoted wife, Jackie Whitt; two children, Samuel “BJ” Whitt, Jr. and Shanita Whitt; two grandchildren, Bryson Whitt and Shaterrica Whitt, all of Mobile, AL; four sisters; three brothers; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. The visitation will be held on Friday, January 26, 2018 from 5pm until the 8pm at Small’s Mortuary, 950 Broad Street, Mobile, AL 36603. Visitation will continue on Saturday, January 27, 2018 from 10am until the 11am Celebration of Life Hour at The Church of the Good Shepherd, 1556 Hurtel Street, Mobile, AL 36605. Interment will follow at Whispering Pines Cemetery, Eight Mile, AL.

His remains will lie in state from 5-8pm on Friday, January 26, 2018 at Small’s Mortuary, Mobile, Alabama.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2018 from 9am until the 11am funeral hour at The Church Of The Good Shepherd, 1556 Hurtel Street, Mobile, Alabama.

Interment will follow in Whispering Pines Cemetery, Eight Mile, Alabama.
