Clarence Edward Shute Junior traded in his labor for reward on Wednesday January 3, 2018. He was born September 1, 1953 to the late Sadie Lee Brockway - Shute and Clarence Edward Shute Senior. He attended Central High School where he was a member of the marching band.

Mr. Shute was a retired master carpenter and a loving brother, uncle, father and a grandfather to many. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Carver’s Homes where his brother, Rev. Anthony O. Shute is pastor.

Mr. Shute was preceded in death by his parents, Sadie Lee Shute and Clarence E. Shute Sr., his sister, Annie Variest Shute, and his brother Kenneth Lamar Shute.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory his aunt Delores Taylor of Mobile, AL, his uncle, Rev. Bernard (Ollie) Anderson of Miami, FL, one brother, Reverend Anthony (Felecia) Shute, one sister Demetrius (Melvin) Houston, a former wife, Barbara Williams; 7 children, Toni’a Alexander of Missouri City, TX, Shalonda (Tommie) Perine, Jamia Alexander, Andrael Shute, Keenan Shute, Brandon Shute, Kameron Williams; 19 grandchildren; one Great Grandson, one Niece, one Nephew and a host of cousins and friends.
His remains will lie in state from 5-8pm on Friday, January 12, 2018 at Small’s Mortuary, Mobile.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2018 from 9am until the 11am funeral hour at First Baptist Church of Carver’s Homes, 664 Whitney Street, Mobile, AL, Reverend Anthony O. Shute officiating. Interment will follow in Whispering Pines Cemetery, Eight Mile, AL.
