Betty Lee  Smith
Betty Lee Smith, a native of Gosport, Alabama and a resident of Mobile, Alabama, made her natural entrance upon the Heavenly shore on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 surrounded by family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leslie Henderson and Margaret Ely Dumas; stepfather, Oscar Dumas; husband, Arthur Lee Smith; two children, Chester Smith and Arthur LeDell Smith.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories seven devoted children: Leon (Valerie) Smith, Debra (Edward) Doss, Oscar (Gloria) Smith, Cathy Smith, Cheryl Smith, Melissa Smith, and Daniella Smith all of Mobile, AL; one devoted sister, Anita (James) Johnson of Portage, Indiana; one brother, Leslie (Kathleen) Henderson of Glenwood, Illinois; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; a devoted cousin/sister, Geraldine Webster; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Her remains will lie in state from 1-8pm on Friday, January 12, 2018 at Small’s Mortuary, Mobile.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2018 from 9am until the 11am funeral hour at Samuel Chapel AME Church, 717 West Prichard Avenue, Prichard, Alabama. Interment will follow in Gethsemane North Cemetery, Eight Mile, Alabama.
